Pathetic state of Sanasar road

This is to draw the attention of concerned authorities towards the deplorable and pathetic state of Patnitop Sanasar road,in particular from Natha Top onwards.Sanasar,a location of pristine and divine beauty, with lush green meadows a beautiful lake with shikaras and great scope of adventure activities at an altitude of almost 7000 feet is a preferred and liked destination for domestic as well pan India tourists.
However after more than 75 years of governance,a stretch of mere ten kilometres could not be constructed to facilitate tourism and also to provide relief to huge population staying in and around Sanasar. Is it by design to give the lowest priority to Sanasar and promoting Kashmir tourism or a lacklustre approach and sheer apathy, without any accountability by UT Government.Road connectivity and its regular maintenance is the backbone of promotion of tourism, sadly, no one is taking cognizance of this vital aspect.Spending huge funds for construction of tourists amenities, organisation of various events with culture programmes ,is not of a great relevance unless road connectivity and adequate parking facilities are created.
It is urged to the Lt Governor to take cognizance of sad and pathetic state of Sanasar, instruct people concerned , establish a monitoring mechanism with accountability and boost the jobs and economy of Sanasar people as the tourist season is peaking up.

Vacant JDA plot cause of nuisance
This is to draw attention of the JDA authorities towards a vacant plot infront of Gurudwara Bala Pritam Sec 3, Trikuta Nagar. This vacant plot has become a source of nuisance for people living in the vicinity of the plot and for the devotees coming to the Gurudwara. The residents of the area use this as a dumping ground where they dump household garbage, building material and other items. As a result, it is stinking and has vitiated the atmosphere in the vicinity.
The JDA authorities are requested to look into the matter and resolve the issue.

Power pilferage in Khajuria mohalla
We want to draw attention of the PDD authorities towards electricity shortage in our Mohalla.
As the temperature is rising, the demand for electricity is also rising sharply.
It is in this secenario that some people have resorted to power theft caring too hoots for authorities or the law of land. One can see illegal Kundas hooked to transmission lines once sun sets in and at some places they can be seen even during day. The PDD authorities whether knowingly or unknowingly have been allowing them to use these hooks continuously at the expense of genuine consumers who pay electric dues every month. Hope authorities would look into the matter.

Electricity shortage in Mandal
With soaring temperature people in Mandal and its adjoining areas have been facing severe shortage of electricity. This area has been subjected to scheduled and unscheduled power cuts day in and day out. The power cuts have made life quite miserable particularly those of old people and patients.
Whenever power is supplied, it is at a low voltage accompanied by fluctuation which damages our household appliances and other gadgets.
The authorities are requested to ensure 24×7 electricity at a time when humidity and high temperature have made life miserable.

Plea to PDD authorities
Recently the PDD Administration issued order regarding prepaid electric recharge system in our area Ward 64 covering areas like Durganagar, Dogra Nagar, Swaran Vihar etc. In this connection public is confused how to deposit electric bills as PDD officials have stopped distribution of electric bills from last month in our area.
Majority of people are not aware about mobile recharge system as they do not have such facilities in mobile. As a result, we are facing great inconvenience in depositing our bills. The PDD authorities are requested to allow continuation of earlier system till consumers learn the new way of depositing bills.

Frequent power cuts in Jammu
Apropos news item with caption “No power cuts in Jammu; curtailment in unmetered areas restricted below 6 hrs” DE June 21. This news has appeared in almost all the local newspapers of J&K and social media was also abuzz of this news thus making the general public heave a sigh of relief. However, the assurance of Chief Engineer, PDD that there would be zero curtailment in Jammu from June 20 onwards has fell flat and with temperature hovering around 40 degrees with humidity level at an alarming level, the general population of Jammu city is living in a miserable condition with numerous power cuts day in and day out. It is baffling to see that the LED lights on electric poles in many parts of Jammu city remain on even during broad daylight and if the same is put off with the onset of day light a great degree of electricity can be saved.
With Jammu province contributing higher revenue and less consumption of power as compared to Kashmir division and with the installation of smart meters in almost all the households of Jammu city, this is high time that Jammuites are not deprived of adequate power supply so as to enable them to live comfortably during these days of scorching heat.
