JAMMU, June 27: India Khelo Football in association with Pegasus Sports Academy had conducted India Khelo Football trials in Jammu on June 24. Over one hundred players actively participated in the football trials of Under 15 and Under 17 category. Players from various parts of Jammu and Kashmir participated in the trials and the energy of excited youth filled up the Valley.
India Khelo Football is a people-led movement in which football players and football enthusiasts from all over India have come together and formed India Khelo Football to develop football at the grass-root level.
India Khelo Football scouts said they identify talented players first at city level and the players who get selected in Jammu will attend the Zonals and top talent will be selected for Nationals where International, ISL, I League Clubs will be present. A few extremely talented players will be selected for an international exposure program as well which will be sponsored by IKF entirely.
“It’s a great initiative by IKF for the development of grassroots football and to hunt the talented players at city level.” says one of the parents. “I feel that it’s a great opportunity for anyone who wants to become a professional footballer,” says Bhisham Batra, Director Batra Group.
