JSM’s concern over repeated statements on accession

JAMMU, Dec 11: Jammu State Morcha has expressed concern over the repeated statements of Omar Abdullah, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed  and their respective party leaders challenging the accession of J&K State, and highlighted the people oriented problems.
Addressing the media persons Prof Virender Gupta, president, Jammu State Morcha, along with his party leaders, said that the people of J&K are peace loving nationalists are worried about their future and that of their future generations. They attacked the parties and their leaders for demanding greater autonomy, joint control of India and Pakistan, encouraging the militants and separatists to continue their war against Indian sovereignty, for their vested interest, even some Cabinet Ministers are behaving strangely and having sympathy with the demands of separatists.
They discussed the prevailing discrimination with the people of Jammu region despite the fact that Jammu region is contributing in the generation of State revenue to more than 70% while the expenditure on its development is merely 30 to 40%. They even cited some glaring examples to support their cause.
The JSM leaders highlighted various pending developmental projects including various bridges, drainage project for Jammu city, widening of city and adjourning roads, flyover projects at various place in city, while addressing a press conference.
The other topics discussed by Morcha leaders pertained to growing unemployment amongst educated youth as also the problems related to selection of students in various professional  institutions.
Others present in the press conference included S Pritpal Singh Betab, Prof Vijay Sharma, Shasank Choudhary, H B Khajuria, Sham Lal Raina, Subash Sharma, Chandra Udey Sharma, Divender Singh Jamwal, Surjeet Singh, Nathu Ram Gupta and Subash Baru.
