Govt set into motion golden era of development: Shabir

RAJOURI, Dec 12: Minister of State for Health, Shabir Ahmad Khan, today said that the Government has set into motion a golden era of development and growth in the State.
“Every possible resource is being mobilized and pooled to provide basic facilities to the people with focus on equitable opportunities of development and uniform justice to poor, backward and hilly areas”, the Minister added.
Addressing a series of public meetings at Mughlianmod, Manyal and Azmatabad in Rajouri, the Minister enumerated several measures taken for comprehensive development of the area. He said that besides upgradation of infrastructure under core sectors, the varied tourism potential of Rajouri and Poonch districts is being explored fully by developing scenic spots and upgradation of tourist related infrastructure. He said work on several tourism projects has already been completed while some projects would be completed during this fiscal and many more projects are in pipe line.
Shabir said ecofriendly tourism infrastructure worth Rs. 9.20 crore is being developed at Dara-ki-Gali, adding that upgradation of TRC Shadara Sharief besides creation of way site facilities along Mughal road is also apace worth crores of rupees.
Shabir assured the people that their genuine demands will be given due consideration and redressed in a time bound manner. He appealed the panchs and sarpanchs to act in close coordination with the local administration in the implementation of various welfare and flagship development programmes in their respective Panchayats.
The Minister gave on spot directions to various departments to redress grievances and development needs of people on priority basis. He also exhorted upon the officers to complete the ongoing projects within the stipulated time ensuring quality as per norms.
On developmental sector, the Minister said that the promises made by Coalition Government are being fulfilled one after one.
