Srinagar, July 4: The Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) today expressed deep concern over the self-immolation attempt by three casual labourers in South Kashmir’s Kokernag, urging the Government to probe the same.
In a statement issued here, EJAC President, Fayaz Ahmad Shabnam called upon the Government to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter.
He emphasized the need for serious action to be taken against those responsible for the incident per the law, to prevent such tragic events in the future.
“The EJAC leadership collectively condemns such acts and emphasizes the importance of identifying the underlying causes that have driven individuals to contemplate suicide,” he said.
