JAMMU, July 7: The J&K Branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) organized a one-day programme for Peer Reviewers at ICAI Bhawan, Canal Road, here today.
The celebrations started off with lightning of lamp and motto song of the Institute. The guest speakers for the event were Dr Anuj Goyal (CCM and Chairman, Peer Review Board), Ayush Jain, RK Gaur and Nakul Arora along with session chairmen Pardeep Sahni, Mukul Singhal and Vasu Garg.
Dr Anuj Goyal took the first technical session on ‘Importance of Peer Review’. The second technical session was taken over by RK Gaur who gave a detail on compliances with ethical standards.
The third technical session was taken over by Ayush Jain who gave a detail on Review Procedures, Reporting by Peer Reviewers and Importance of AQMM in Peer Review while the fourth technical session was taken over by Nakul Arora who explained various compliances with frame work of Quality Control General & Specific Controls and Audit Documentation.
Vikas Purdhani (Chairman of the Branch) delivered the inaugural address while Sourav Pargal (secretary of the Branch) conducted the proceedings.
Vineet Kohli (vice chairman of the Branch) presented the formal vote of thanks.
Ayush Sawhney (treasurer) and Priya Seth (executive member) along with a number of Chartered Accountants were also present at the occasion.
