UDHAMPUR, July 7: In separate incidents of apparent suicide, two persons were found hanging at their respective residence near Birma Bridge Udhampur and Nagulta Chenani.
According to the police report, Sandeep Kumar (18), son of Pritam Kumar, resident of Birma Bridge Udhampur, was found hanging from an Iron pipe at his house under mysterious circumstances. The deceased was working in a Crusher unit near Birma Bridge.
On being informed by the family members, a Police team from Rehambal Police Station rushed to the spot and shifted the dead body to District Hospital Udhampur for the postmortem. After completion of all the legal formalities and postmortem, the body was handed over to the family members for the last rites.
Cause of provocation behind the extreme step could not be ascertained while Police has registered a case in this connection at Rehambal Police Station for further investigation.
Meanwhile, in another similar case, Baldev Singh (42), son of Dina, resident of Nagulta Chenani, was found hanging from a ceiling fan hook in his house under mysterious circumstances.
Family member saw him hanging and immediately called the Police. Chenani Police shifted the dead body to Sub District Hospital Chenani for the postmortem and registered a case for further investigation.
