JAMMU, Dec 14: Jammu and Kashmir State Indian Style Wrestling team has been selected to participate in the 47th Indian Style Senior National Wrestling Championship 2013 and Hind Kesari title bouts 2013 to be held at Bahadurgarh in Haryana from December 15 to 18, 2013.
Earlier, J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association conducted the final trials after 15 days coaching camp under the overall supervision of its president Shiv Kumar Sharma who is also treasurer of Indian Style Wrestling Association of India. The trials were conducted at Dewan Mandir Akhara, Kachi Chawani Jammu in presence of Sports Officer, J&K State Sports Council, Rajan Sharma and the team was screened by the screening committee of the Council.
The Wrestlers who were selected included Rustam Chowdhary, Bushan Mehra, Surjan Singh, Bhag Hussain, Stephen Ladher, Nissar Ahmed, Mohd Akram and Mohd Sadiq.
The team sponsored by J&K State Sports Council has left Jammu under the supervision of Prem Kumar and Om Parkash Kapoor, who are accompanying the team as coach and manager respectively and Mulk Raj Sharma as technical official.
Shiv Kumar Sharma is also accompanying the State team.
Earlier, the trials were held under the technical guidance of Shiv Kumar Sharma, Bansi Lal Tidyal, general secetary, PR Sharma, treasurer, Mulk Raj Sharma, chairman selection committee, Kulbir Singh, secretary selection committee and Om Parkash Kapoor, Ex Member.
