JAMMU, July 15: In an ongoing Jammu Division Selection chess event, Aarav Gupta won in both Under-15 and Under-13 boys sections here today.
Statement said that Aarav Gupta was in great form and was unstoppable winning all the games and both titles while Anish Kotwal got second position in Under-15 and Anand Swaroop got 3rd place, 4th and 5th position went to Aarav Mahajan and Tanmay Jamwal. In the Under-13 age category Tanmay Jamwal got 2nd position and Vansh Bakshi got 3rd place, 4th and 5th place went to Vaibav and Panache Gupta.
The cash prizes worth Rs 2, 4500 were distributed among the top five players from both categories. FIDE Arbiter Anil Kotwal was Chief Arbiter of the event who conducted all the matches. All the matches were conducted as per FIDE Laws of Chess and latest international rules. Atul Kumar Gupta Joint secretary AICF and working president AJKCA and Baldev Raj President AJKCA were also present during the matches.
