JAMMU, Dec 16: The Indian Sport Mela got underway at Chakroi in RS Pura, here today.
Students drawn from 15 Government schools and 12 clubs of RS Pura block are participating in the Mela.
Over 300 students are participating in 6 sports disciplines being conducted in the event. The games include kho-kho, kabaddi, volleyball, tug-of-war and wrestling.
The event was inaugurated by MLA Sham Choudhary in presence of SDPO Devender Singh.
The event is being sponsored by MLA Sham Choudhary.
The final match of the Mela will be held on December 18, 2013 at the same venue.
