SIMBAL, Dec 16: Dasmesh Cricket Club, Digiana defeated Shiva XI RS Pura by 8 wickets to advance in the ongoing Mahant Bachhitter Singh Memorial Cricket Tournament, being organized by the Youth Welfare Association, Simbal Camp at Government High School ground, here.
Earlier, batting first, Shiva XI bundled out for a paltry total of 56 runs in 17 overs. Shashi, Goldi and Pankaj were the three batsmen to cross the double figure mark by scoring 12, 11 and 10 runs respectively. For Dasmesh Club, Kala and Kuldeep bagged 3 wickets each.
In reply, Dashmesh Club chased the target easily in 10 overs by losing 2 wickets, thus won the match by 8 wickets. Rahul and Kulbir Singh contributed 19 runs each, while Monu chipped in with 16 runs to the total. For Shiva Club, Goldi and Pankaj shared one wicket apiece. Kala was adjudged man the match.
Rangil Singh, Senior PDP leader was the chief guest in today’s proceedings.
