Srinagar, Dec 17: A local court in North Kashmir sentenced a driver with two years of imprisonment and two others with six month in prison for negligent and rash driving in different road accidents.
Judicial Magistrate, Pattan in Baramulla district today pronounced the sentence on Mohammad Sultan Khan son of Sul Khan of Palhallan Pattan. He was convicted in case FIR No: 322/99 under Section 279, 304-A pertaining to the death of Ghulam Rasool Rather of Palhallan.
A tipper driver Farooq Ahmad Nath son of Ghulam Qadir Nath of Noorbagh, Srinagar was convicted in case FIR no. 99/2006 under Section 279,337,304A for two years imprisonment under Section 304 A and six months imprisonment under Section 279 RPC.
In another similar case, a driver Habibullah Zargar son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din of Pattan was convicted in case FIR no. 90/2006, 287 RPC was sentenced to 6 months imprisonment.
All the accused were taken into custody in open court and sent to District Jail Baramulla to undergo the sentence.
