J&K Sports Council gets ‘temporary’ CSO, DSO Kmr

JAMMU, July 21: Stating that till the regular arrangement is made, Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council have appointed the Chief Sports Officer (CSO) and Divisional Sports Officer (DSO) Kashmir allegedly on temporary basis.
Referring to the Government order of GAD, the J&K Sports Council ordered appointment of two officers of JKAS rank till regular arrangements are made.
The order issued on Thursday by the Secretary, J&K Sports Council read, “Consequent upon their joining in the J&K Sports Council, Mohammad Hanief, JKAS and Muzaffer Hussain Wani, JKAS shall look after the work of Chief Sports Officer and Divisional Sports Officer (K), J&K Sports Council respectively till regular arrangement is made as per the recruitment rules of the J&K Sports Council.” “This issues in supersession to the previous orders issued, if any, on the subject matter,” read an order.
The post of DSO Kashmir recently fell vacant when one of the officers of J&K Sports Council was suspended. The post of Chief Sports Officer is vacant from March, 2019 after the retirement of Abdul Qayum as CSO and is yet to be filled on permanent basis. (UNI)
