JAMMU, July 26: Badminton and Carrom matches were held in an ongoing Inter-Departmental Tournaments for the session 2022-23 at Directorate of Sports of Physical Education, University of Jammu, here today.
In Carrom (Male) matches Law Department defeated DSRS Department by (2-1), Geology Department defeated Journalism Department by (2-0), Life Long Learning Department defeated Geography Department by (2-0), Statistics Department defeated Political Science Department by (2-0), Education Department defeated English Department by (2-0), Zoology Department defeated DDE & OE by (2-0) and Sociology Department defeated Yoga Centre by (2-1).
In Carrom women matches, Environmental Science Department defeated DSRS Department by (2-1), Electronics Department defeated Sociology Department by (2-1), DDE & OE defeated Library Science Department by (2-0), Zoology Department defeated Education Department by (2-1), Physical Education Department defeated Philosophy Department by (2-0), and English Department beat Sanskrit Department by (2-0).
While the results in Badminton (Male) matches were Geology Department defeated Zoology Department by (2-0), Political Science Department defeated The Law School by (2-0); Yoga Centre defeated Statistics Department by (2-0).
The matches were officiated by Ravish Vaid, Vikas Karlopia, Gagan Kumar, Jai Bharat, Raj Kumar Bakshi and Padam Dev Singh. The matches were conducted under the supervision of Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba Chairman, Campus Sports Committee, University of Jammu.
