Swami Vishweshwaranand Giri to get Shri Kailakh Sanskrit Ratna Puraskar

JAMMU, July 30: A grand program is being organized in Mishriwala area of Jammu on August 1 in which Mahamandaleshwar Swami Shri Vishweshwaranand Giri Ji Maharaj will be given this year’s Shri Kailakh Sanskrit Ratna Puraskar.
This was disclosed by president of Shri Kailakh Jyotish Avim Vedic Sanathan Trust in a press conference, here today. He said Swami Vishweshwaranand will be given the honor by LG Manoj Sinha (chief guest) for promoting Devvani Sanskrit. Former minister Sham Lal Sharma will grace the event as special guest while president of Vishwa Hindu Parishad Delhi Kapil Khanna Saraswat will also remain present.
“In order to promote Devvani Sanskrit on behalf of the Trust, the process of awarding Kailakh Sanskrit Ratna Award to a Sanskrit scholar every year for doing excellent work in the field of Devvani Sanskrit was started in the year 2017,” he said.
He informed that Swamiji is currently a member of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board and the president of the Governing Council of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Sanskrit Gurukul Katra. In addition, he said, Swamiji is the 11th president of Suratgiri Bangla, Haridwar and president of Sanyas Ashram Vile Parle Mumbai.
