JAMMU, Aug 1: The 12th Jammu District Shooting Championship held at Aim 10X Shooting Academy Talab Tillo, concluded here today.
Ashok Sharma, Commandant JKAP-4th Security Battalion Jammu was the chief guest on this occasion while Surinder Singh Sodhi, President J&K Rifle Association was the guest of honour and Anuradha Pandoh, Principal Govt. Degree College Jourian was a special guest who distributed the medals to the winners.
Ashok Sharma appreciated the efforts of the Jammu District Rifle Association and the clubs affiliated to Jammu District Rifle Association who gave such a sports (shooting) platform to the aspiring marksmen of J&K who are displaying their talent across the country.
Surinder Singh Sodhi, President J&K Rifle Association also gave a brief note about the championship and assured their full cooperation and support to organizers for conducting the championship in near future under the banner of J&K Rifle Association.
Anuradha Pandoh, Principal Govt. Degree College Jourian highly appreciated the efforts of organizers for conducting the said championship in a congenial atmosphere. Prominent others present on the occasion are Shashi Kant Raina, Kewal Kumar Sharma, Sohil Khan along with other sportspersons, coaches and senior players of J&K UT.
In the 10 meters Air rifle event in Sub-Youth Men, Kamaksh Dev Singh Bhau grabbed first position while Laksh Chetan Wazir remained in second position. In 10 meter Air Rifle Sub-Youth Women, Sheikh Zainab Iqbal remained in first position, Maadvi Dabas secured second position.
In the 10 meters Air Pistol event of Sub Youth Women, Ananya Sharma secured first position. In the Sub Youth Men, Saksham Virdhy secured first position. Vinod Puri secured first position in senior men and Sheikh Zafar Iqbal secured first position in Masters Men event.
