Kerala wins epee, sabre women team gold; Manipur eves bag foil team gold

JAMMU, Dec 20: Kerala women epee team of Stefitha Chalil, Merin Ka, Dilna VP and Aswathi Raj CK bagged gold, while the sabre team comprising of Neha Hari Khare, CA Bhavani Devi, Reesha Puthussery and Josna Christy Jose also clinched gold in the ongoing 24th Senior National Fencing Championship at Indoor Complex MA Stadium, here.
Punjab women claimed second spot in epee team event, while the third place was bagged by Manipur and Chandigarh in this event.
In sabre women team event, Punjab bagged silver, while the bronze medal went to Maharashtra and Tamilnadu.
In women foil team event, Manipur bagged gold, while the silver was claimed by Kerala and the bronze was shared by Assam and Tamilnadu.
Meanwhile, in the men’s epee team event, Manipur and SSCB bagged gold and silver respectively, while the bronze was claimed by Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.
