Jagti Migrants Welfare Committee highlights demands

JAMMU, Dec 20: A meeting of Jagti Migrants Welfare Committee was held, today under the chairmanship of Veer Ji Belove, in which various problems being faced by Jagti inmates were discussed.
The Committee made an appeal to Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah to issue directives to concerned authorities to complete the construction of 65 bed hospital at Jagti Township immediately the work on which has been stopped and the people are suffering a lot due to lack of medical facilities when crores of rupees were allotted for the construction of hospital.
It said the inmates of the town want to know the cause of the delay, the meeting demanded. The meeting also appealed the Chief Minister to issue directives to Director School Education to provide Arts Faculty to Govt HSS Jagti at earliest.
It criticized the Financial Department for releasing funds late to CAPD Department due to which the supply of ration to Jagti inmates is delayed.
The Committee however expressed its gratitude to Relief Commissioner for giving on spot directions to Executive Engineer and other concerned to redress the long pending demands of Jagti inmates which included Completion of Cremation Ground, repairing of TRTs, parks, Medical Centre, repair of main road from Kandoli to Colony. It expressed the hope that the promises made by the R C will be fulfilled at an earliest. It appealed RC to ease the process of bifurcation, inclusion, RBA certificates so that the people may not suffer any more.
Pintoo Ji, Chand Ji Pandita, Satish K. Pandita, Mohan Lal, Roshan Lal, Bushan Lal, Vimal Ji, Ravi Ji, Ramesh Kumar, Sonu, Ashok Kumar, Neerag, Shadi Lal, Subash also attended the meeting.
