JAMMU, Dec 20: Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj (YAIKS) while welcoming the initiative of the State Government to restart the second phase of PM’s employment package for displaced youth from Valley for 1450 posts of migrants including the 221 candidates whose posts have been reserved by State High Court, has urged the migrant youth to get themselves ready to join their services in Kashmir Valley.
Talking to reporters here, today, YAIKS president, R K Bhat along with other members of his organisation said it is high time for the political parties, social organisations and religious preachers to protect, safeguard the KP youth who are ready to serve in Kashmir Valley to play their constructive and positive role in maintaining pluralistic and composite culture of the State.
He said this is the litmus test for the civil society to reciprocate in the same manner. The Kashmir is an abode of great saints, Rishis and Munis and we as native Kashmiris can’t be separated from their land, he added.
Mr Bhat said that his organization wants to make it clear that there is no consensus on return of the community and YAIKS is not trying to facilitate the return as few individuals are making a false allegation on the organization. “ We warn those vested interests who are trying to sabotage employment package of the community youth which has nothing to do with the return and they are only concerned for their survival as employment package is a matter of the survival of the youth’’, he added.
Mr Bhat said YAIKS which is spearheading the community’s struggle for employment has nothing to do with other issues except this. The organization is committed to implementation of 6000 posts under PM’s package announced for Kashmiri migrants by PM in 2008. Besides the YAIKS is also committed to ensure the amenities to employees appointed under PM’s package, he added.
On return he said the YAIKS will prepare a blue print and submit the same to community for its approval and if community gives its consent to the same then a process will be started on it.
YAIKS vice presidents Bal Krishan Bhat and Sunil Koul, general secretary Manoj Handoo, secretaries, Ajay Safaya, Sanjay Ganjoo, Deepak Dhar, Vijay Raina and Sunil Dhar and advisor D N Bhat were present in the press conference.
