SRINAGAR, Dec 20: The Special Judge Anti-Corruption today granted 11-day judicial remand to an accused in the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Exams (JKBOPEE) Common Entrance Test- 2012 scam.
One of the accused in the BOPEE scam, Sajjad Ahmad was produced today before the Special Judge Anti-Corruption, Mohan Lal Manhas, who sent him to 11-day judicial custody.
The Court directed that Sajjad be sent to Central Jail Srinagar for 11-days as lot of incriminating evidence is yet to be collected by the Investigating Officer of the Crime Branch.
The Court has also directed the Crime Branch to expedite the investigation process. The Superintendent jail has also been directed to provide Sajjad requisite Medicare as per jail manuals.
Sajjad was arrested by Crime Branch on November 15 this year for purchasing the CET-2012 papers from the then BOPEE chairman Mushaq Ahmad Peer and distributing it to some candidates for getting admissions in MBBS course against huge payments.
