JAMMU, Dec 22: Career Abacus, a leading Abacus Teaching Institution, organized Prize Distribution Ceremony of the State Level Competition (Career Abacus Championship-2013) in the Auditorium of Govt Polytechnic College, here.
The aim of the competition was to bring forth the talent of the students undergoing Abacus Training.
An impressive and colourful function was organized by the Institute in which Raman Bhalla, Minister of Housing, Horticulture and Culture was the chief guest. Prominent among others present on the occasion were Er Arun Bangotra, Principal Govt Polytechnic College, Satish Sharma, Youth MP, Jammu-Poonch Constituency, S Rabinder Singh, Retd Chief Engineer.
The Chief guest and guests of honour were accorded warm reception by the founder Director of the Institute Arvind Sharma, Franchisee of all Centres and Staff members.
The function started with lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest, guests of honour and Director, Career Abacus.
Bhavya Bhushan, a 5th standard student of the Institute welcomed the guests. Ganesha Stuti was the first dance item presented by the girl students of the Institute. Dance on patriotic song by the little genius’ of the Institute mesmerized the audience. Students of Rehari branch presented Dogri song. The main attraction of the function was that it was all handled by the little students of the Institute from the welcome speech till the end of the function. In the middle of the function a demo of calculations was conducted by the small kids. Everyone present in the function was amazed to see the speed and accuracy of the children.
The function ended with a vote of thanks by Medha Sharma, a student of the Institute.

Champion of Champions (Junior) award was won by Sargun Kour of Heritage School
Champion of Champions (Senior) award was won by Amninder Pal Singh of KV Miran Sahib.
