JAMMU, Aug 11: Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1 Jammu organized a regional level workshop on National Curriculum Framework for Foundational Stage (NCF-FS) and Jadui Pitara for primary teachers here today.
Assistant Commissioner, KVS Jammu Region, Islam Khan was the chief guest on this occasion accompanied by Principal, Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1, Amit Walter. Sanjog Mishra, K.V. No. 1 Srinagar and Preeti Chandolia, K.V. No.1 Udhampur were the resource persons of the workshop.
There were 47 primary teachers from different Kendriya Vidyalayas who participated in this workshop. The aim of the workshop was to introduce them with a new pedagogical and curricular structure based on the cognitive and socio-emotional development of students. The emphasis is on the development of foundational literacy and numeracy skills in primary education.
The teachers were also introduced with ‘Jadui Pitara’ a teaching-learning material designed for children aged between 3 to 8 years, Consisting of Playbooks, Toys Puzzles, Posters, Flash Cards, Storybooks, and worksheets. The workshop was highly beneficial and Innovative for the primary teachers. The programme concluded with key notes of Deputy Commissioner KVS Regional Office, Jammu, Nagendra Goyal.
