JAMMU, Dec 23: Vice Chairman J&K State Advisory Board for Development of Kissans Radhay Sham Sharma while leading a team of J&K farmers on study tour of seven States returned here and shared his experiences with the State Agriculture Department and SKUAST scientists.
The J&K farmers’ during week long tour visited Punjab, Himachal, Uttrakhand, Rajasthan etc and acquainted themselves with the latest agriculture technologies and innovations made in research and development by various Agriculture Universities in the country and the impact of their research work on the ground for their contributions made in boosting agriculture production, animal husbandry, sheep husbandry, fishries, dairy farming, horticulture sericulture etc. with the special motive of uplifting economy of the farming community.
Mr Sharma while sharing his experience told that while interacting with the Pingalwara Charitable Society who are patronizing natural farming mission at Jandiala, Amritsar, it was learnt that they have introduced the natural farming amongst the most of the farmers of Punjab State which are giving fruitful results in producing decease free natural agriculture crop in the State. Even they are cultivating sugar free wheat which is a land mark innovation in the farming sector. He disclosed that the Vice Chancellor of Dr Y S Parmar University of Hortculture and Forestry, Nauni in Solan (HP) his team shared the progress made in the field specially in growing Kiwi, apple, mushroom and the Forest development.
