JAMMU, Dec 24: Annual prize distribution function was organised at Army Public School, Akhnoor wherein Mrs Padmashree Patnaik, chairperson FWO was the chief guest.
On the occasion, colourful programme was presented by the students. Programme started with lightening of lamp followed by Saraswati Vandana. Prize distribution started after colourful cultural programme.
Prizes were given to the toppers of class X, XI, XII in academics, IIT workshop and different olympiads. Prizes and gifts were given to the students who brought laurels to the school in Northern Command Volleyball for boys and girls and other sports activities.
State Speedball championship, State Karate Championship, best teacher award was given to Manoj Kumar TGT(Maths), International player, Manika, Smaksh in Speedball and Tarannum in Golf were also honoured.
After prize distribution chief guest advised teachers to make the school child centric and give special attention towards special children.
Principal KCS Mehta and chairman Brig S K Dey were also present on the occasion.
