JAMMU, Aug 20: An old woman died today after falling from a moving scooty in Akhnoor area of city outskirts.
According to Police sources, a 72-year-old woman namely Rattan Kour wife of late Gurbachan Singh and resident of Ward number 2 (Akhnoor) sustained serious injuries after she fell from a moving scooty at Fawara Chowk, Akhnoor.
“The grievously injured woman was immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where she was declared as brought dead by the doctors,” sources said, adding, after postmortem, the body of the deceased was handed over to her legal heirs for last rites while Akhnoor Police had taken cognizance of the matter.
