UDHAMPUR, Dec 25: Due to road damage near Jakhani and ongoing work on widening of the National Highway, a massive traffic jam was observed from Maand Udhampur to Kud for more than seven hours from 6 am to 1pm.
All type of vehicles, heavy as well as light, were seen jammed on the National Highway.
According to the Traffic authorities, the National Highway was damaged near Kalli Mata Mandir, just half km from Jakhani and about three kilometers away from Udhampur town near Electric Tower. The ongoing road widening work was the other main reason behind the traffic jam that led to great inconvenience to the passengers.
Traffic Police was assisted by Udhampur Police and CRPF Jawans to clear the road.
