JAMMU, Aug 25: The competitions Rolley Hockey and Inline Hockey events in both men and women categories continued on the second day of the ongoing four-day Inline and Roller Hockey National Federation Cup Championship at Skating Rink, Maulana Azad Stadium here today.
As per the results in Roller Hockey Senior Men category, Punjab defeated Uttar Pradesh 4-2, Telangana defeated Tamil Nadu 5-3 and Chandigarh beat Haryana 5-3. Uttar Pradesh beat Karnataka 31-0 and Haryana outclassed Telangana 4-1. Meanwhile in the Roller Hockey Women category, Chandigarh defeated Punjab 4-2 and Haryana beat Tamil Nadu 3-2. Moreover, in the Inline Hockey Senior Men category, Chandigarh beat Punjab 2-1, Rajasthan beat Telangana 5-1, Andhra Pradesh beat Haryana 5-2 and in the Senior Women category of the same event, Karnataka beat Telangana 10-0 and Haryana beat Chandigarh 2-1. The finals are expected to be played tomorrow as pool positions on knock-out basis will be cleared by tonight, said an official. The championship is being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Roller Sports Association under the patronage of Roller Skating Federation of India and as many as 350 skaters from ten teams are participating in the championship. Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana, Chandigarh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are among the participating teams.
