Srinagar, Aug 27: A free Medical Camp was conducted today under the Civic Action Program by the 29th Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) at the Government Middle School SK Bagh in Pahroo, Budgam. The camp aimed to provide healthcare access and alleviate health concerns for local residents in need.
The camp, situated in the Zone BK Pora of District Budgam, received an overwhelming response from the community. Around 300 individuals benefited from the medical services provided at the camp.
Qualified medical professionals examined patients and administered necessary treatments. Additionally, free medicines were distributed to those requiring medical assistance.
Gulab Bhat, the District president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), attended the event, alongside Tahira, Deputy Sarpanch of SK Bagh. The gathering also included Dr. Bishariya, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Medical CRPF, Mathew A John, DIG, P K Shahu, Commandant of the 29th Battalion, and Anil Kumar, Second in Command of the CRPF, among others.
The medical team overseeing the camp included Dr. Yamini, General Duty Medical Officer (GDMO), and other GDMOs from the 29th Battalion CRPF, alongside Dr. Maqsood.
The people said that the event underscored the CRPF’s dedication to community welfare, as it extended beyond security responsibilities to address pressing healthcare needs.
