JAMMU, Dec 26: The Jammu University SC/ST Employees Association has sought the intervention of Vice-Chancellor Prof M P S Ishar to ensure no injustice and harassment to the SC, ST employees in the university.
The appeal was made during meeting of the Association under the chairmanship of president R L Kaith who alleged injustice to SC/ST employees in the matter of reservation in promotions.
The meet alleged that all their complaints brought to the notice of the University authorities have so far gone unheard without action to restrain the staff responsible for tampering the reservation roster several times with an object to deprive the SC/ST employees of their promotional benefits.
Those who attended the meeting, included Surinder Kumar Shavotra, Surjeet Singh Heer, Mohan Lal, Paras Ram, Sukhdev Bhagat and Kunj Lal.
