JAMMU, Dec 26:A three week long UGC refresher course in Information Technology ,  organized by Academic Staff College of Jammu University in collaboration with Dept of Computer Science & IT, concluded  today.
Around twenty five college and university teachers attended the refresher course. The participants shared their experiences and presented a  feedback report of the course.
Prof Desh Bandhu,, Director  College Development Council, JU,  who was chief guest in the valedictory function,  highlighted the major role that IT is playing in the day to day affairs of the people.
Prof Vibhakar Mansotra, head of the Computer Sciences Department, dwelt in detail about the various contours of IT and Computer Science that were covered in the three week long course.
Prof  Rajender Gupta, Director Academic Staff Colleges, threw light on the programmes and refresher courses being conducted by the Academic Staff College. He hoped  that the  participants will upgrade their knowledge till they set the milestone.
Prof Gupta also assured that on the basis of the feedback from the participants, steps will be taken to increase the efficiency of  Academic Staff College.
Ranjeet Kalra, Astt. Professor ASC, presented a formal vote of thanks on the occasion.
Dr Jasbir Singh from Deptt of  IT conducted the proceedings of the  function.
Among others, present on the occasion, included Dr Latisen, Dr Vinod Sharma, Dr Pawnesh Abrol, Dr Shub Nandan Jamwal, Anil K Tickoo, Dr Goja and technical staff of the Department  and ASC.
