JAMMU, Dec 27: A delegation of Provincial Electrical Employees Union, led by P C Sharma, called on Principal Secretary PDD in his office chamber and submitted him a memorandum.
In the memorandum, the Union has demanded evolution of technical grades to all ITI Diploma Holders in terms of SRO 149 of 1973 and field staff, retrospective effect to the already regularized DRW during 2001, 2003 and 2006 in terms of SRO 64 of 1994, amendment in service recruitment rule 381 of 1981, opening of new EM&RE Division of Basohli to reduce the burden of existing Division Kathua, re-organization of department to cope up with the enhanced power system, Department Diploma course through lateral entry scheme and regularization of daily wagers with creation of sufficient posts, especially in district Kathua.
After detailed discussion, the Principal Secretary assured that department will do its best efforts to solve all the issues without loosing more time. He also assured that issue like amendment in Service Recruitment Rules and creation of posts for the regularization of left over daily wagers shall be considered very soon with positive result.
Additional Secretary (HRM) and Power, Secretary Power Sheetal Nanda was also present in the meeting of Electric employees with Principal Secretary PDD.
The deputation comprised of Davinder Sharma, Bishan Singh, Hardarshan Singh, Shiv Charan Singh, Yash Pal Raina and Suresh.
