RAJOURI, Sept 1: The Department of Youth Services and Sports, Zone Thannamandi organized an inter- school zonal level tournament in the disciplines of Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Volleyball, Chess, Carrom and Badminton for under 19 years girls at Government Higher Secondary School, Thannamandi here today.
The competitions were organized under the supervision of Sunil Singh Sambyal (DYSSO Rajouri) and in presence of Kulwant Singh (Zonal Physical Education Officer, Thannamandi).
In today’s event, 62 girls participated. The entire field staff of Zone Thannamandi i.e. PEM, PET, REK NYC and Principal Government Higher Secondary School Thannamandi Jawaid Ahmed Raina along with his staff remained present during the tournament, which will conclude on 4th of September.
The Volleyball, Kabaddi and Badminton finals were won by teams of Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Plangarh, Carrom final won by High School Shahadra Sharief and Kho-Kho final was won by Girls Higher Secondary School Thannamandi.
