KCIS hosts inter-school swimming competition

JAMMU, Sept 2: Hosted by KC International School (KCIS), an inter-school swimming competition in under-12, under-14 and under-17 categories concluded today.
There was a huge participation of enthusiastic swimmers from 14 prestigious schools of J&K and Punjab, who participated with great excitement and zestfulness.
The event was graced by chief guest Amarjeet Singh (Special Secretary, Tourism J&K) and special guest Ramandeep Singh Soodan (president, J&K Sports Council). The guests of honor on the occasion were Chaitanya Chowdhary (president KCIS), Dr Shikha Chowdhary (finance secretary, KCIS) and Principal Anupama Sinha.
It was a display of beautiful athleticism and sportsmanship as swimmers dived into the inviting water and speedily made their way through the length of the pool. There were moments of breath-taking sporting ability as some swimmers easily outstripped the others in the lanes next to them.
The participants competed in the inter-school swimming gala with the individual races of backstroke, breast stroke, butterfly, freestyle and medley events. They all gave a fantastic performance, with many reaching the finals.
In the girls category, Jodhamal Public School bagged 3rd position, Presentation Convent School secured 2nd position and Heritage School registered win by securing 1st position. In boys category, KC Public School secured 3rd position, 2nd position was bagged by Jodhamal Public School and K C International School emerged as winner and lifted the winning trophy.
