JAMMU, Sept 4: Alexander Memorial School, Jammu hosted an Inter-School ‘Folk Dance Competition’ under the aegis of Youth Talent Search in an open air Auditorium of the school here today.
Dr. Shallu Sehgal, Senior Assistant Professor Department of Economics University of Jammu was chief guest while guest of honour was Dr. Mitali Gupta, Dietician/ Nutritionist.
Dr. Sheetal Chalotra, Senior Dance Teacher, Delhi Public School, Jammu and Delight William Kler, a Theatre Professional, Director, D-Drama Academy, Jammu were the Judges. Esther William, Principal of the school, received the guests. Ten schools of Jammu participated in the competition.
The audience highly appreciated the performance of the participants and gave them a big hand after each item as a mark of appreciation and encouragement. JK Montessori Higher Secondary School Talab Tiloo, Jammu, clinched the first spot, Humanity Public School; Bari Brahmana came second while S.D. Tarapuri High School Gandhi Nagar, Jammu and New Era Environmental High School, Circular Road, Jammu received the trophy of second runners up.
