J&K Super Seven Cricket team defeats UP

JAMMU, Sept 6: Jammu and Kashmir Super Seven cricket team emerged victorious against Uttar Pradesh today at Nizampur, Vishali, Delhi and clinched second runner up trophy in the tournament.
After winning the toss, J&K team decided to bat first and scored 60 runs by the loss of six wickets in stipulated seven overs. Bhavish scored 18 runs, Shiv Dass 17 and Sujal scored 14 runs for the team.
While chasing the target, Uttar Pradesh team could not achieve the target within the stipulated overs and lost the match. The J&K team showed a brilliant performance with the ball and defended low total successfully. Manav and Sunny took one wicket each.
Muneer, J&K team coach, Manager Amar Singh and Ajay Sharma, General Secretary of J&K Super Seven Association appreciated the teams’ performance.
13th Sub Junior National Super Seven Cricket Championship was organised by Super Seven Cricket Association of Delhi between 4 to 6 September. NCR clinched the trophy while West Bengal remained on the second place and Jammu and Kashmir team won a cash prize of Rs 21,000 and remained on third spot.
