REASI, Sept 9: Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) Reasi in collaboration with Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board Katra organised an annual inter-school (boys and girls) sports meet at SMVD Sports Complex Katra here today.
Vipan Bhagat, Assistant Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board was the chief guest while Abhishek Sharma, Nodal Officer SMVD Sports Complex was the guest of honour. Earlier, Tarsem Singh, District Youth Services and Sports Officer welcomed the chief guest and other distinguished gathering.
Around 100 students from different schools of district Reasi participated in inter school competition from different zones of District Reasi. The results of the day in Rifle Shooting U-19 Boys were Rahul Sharma (HSS Katra) stood Ist, Dev Singh (HSS Reasi) 2nd, Arjun Singh (HSS Pouni) 3rd in the competition.
In U-17 Boys; Akhil Verma (HSS Katra) stood 1st and Utkarsh (Vikas Memorial Reasi) 2nd. In U-19 Girls; Suneha (GHS Katra) 1st and Sonali Devi (HSS Katra) 2nd. In U-17; Simran Thakur (GSS Katra) 1st, Sohaj (Amba Kids) 2nd.
While in Pistol U-19; Vaishali Sharma (HSS Katra) 1st, U-14 Aaradhya Vedwan 1st. In Archery U-14 Boys; (Recurve Event) Krishna Yadav (GMS Hansali) 1st, U-17- Manpreet (HSS Katra) 1st. In the U-19- (Compound Event) Naksham Singh (TPS Katra) stood 1st and Omkara Gupta (HSS Katra) 2nd. While in Judo competition; U-14 Boys, 30 kg Mustafa Ali (Amba Kids), Imnaz Choudhary (Amba Kids) 2nd, Ankit Kumar stood 3rd. Matches were conducted under the Supervision of Kuldeep Kumar, Activity Incharge and Jagdev Singh.
