10th Edition of Ladakh Marathon concludes

LEH, Sept 10: The 10th edition of Ladakh Marathon-2023 which is the world’s highest marathon held here in Union Territory of Ladakh concluded here today, witnessed huge participation of athletes from around the world.
In today’s results of the 42 kilometres Marathon (Open Female Category), Jigmet Dolma clinched the top position while Disket Dolma and Deepika Prakash remained in second and third place respectively.
In the 42 kilometres (Open Male Category) Marathon; Nawang Tsering clinched first position, Jigmet Namgail remained in second place while Manzoor Husain secured third place.
In 42 kilometres (Open Veterans male Category); Shivanand Dangwal from India clinched the first position and Kazuhiko Nishikawa from Japan grabbed the second position.
In the 21 kilometres half marathon (female); Stanzin Chondol clinched the first position, Stanzin Dolkar second and Tashi Ladol remained on the third spot. While in male category Hans Raj clinched the first position, Anurag Konkar remained in second and Tsewang Nangdan in third place in the marathon.
In the 21 km half marathon (Veteran Female); Kiran Chulanil remained on first spot, Savita Pethe came second and Vidya Bendale remained on third spot. In the 11 km Open Ladakh Marathon (female); Skarma Idang Lanzes remained in first place, Padma Lhamo in second and Kunzang Chorol in third.
In the 11 km open veteran female category, Jyoti Nene remained in first spot; Kulbir Chahal grabbed the second place while Veena Naik stood third. In the 11 km Open Male Category; Punchok Namgail clinched first position, Sonam Chospail stood second and Skarma Gyatso secured third place. In the 11 Kilometres Open Veteran Male category; Karma Bhutia clinched the first spot, Wangail Punchok came second and Mukesh Bhanwala secured third place.
