JAMMU, Dec 30: Alleging harassment by their relative and neighbour over land dispute, a family of mother and her three daughters has appealed the Police Department to provide them security as they fear apprehension of being eliminated by the other party.
“We are regularly being harassed and beaten up by our uncle Kaka Ram and his son who want to grab our land but the local administration is taking no cognizance of our repeated requests and written complaints,” said Sushma Devi, daughter of Late Bishan Dass of village Arnia ward number 7 in Tehsil Bishnah, while talking to media persons, here today.
She alleged that Kaka Ram (brother of her late father) and his five young sons, were regularly harassing them and threatening for transferring the rights of their property to them.
While elaborating,  Sushma informed that  there was  a land dispute between the two families since many years and earlier also, Kaka Ram along with his sons had trespassed their  house and attacked them during which their mother Kamla Rani (52) got seriously injured. “In this connection, we got registered an FIR number  29/2013 dated 11-04-2013 at police station  Arnia but no action was  taken by police,” she said and added that  the accused assaulted their family again on the very next day.
“They also threatened  to eliminate our father who was later found seriously injured and dead under mysterious circumstances in the field on November 18,” Sushma narrated and alleged that death of her father was a well planned murder by the sons of Kaka Ram.
“Now, when we  are left with no male member alive, Kaka Ram along with his sons again assaulted us with sharp edged weapons inflicting serious injuries  on myself and my sister on December 17  but Police again did not take any action, she alleged and appealed the administration to provide security to her family members.
