SAMBA, Dec 30: DRS Kids, Samba celebrated its Graduation Day with enthusiasm and zeal at Samba Fort near Hari Singh Chowk.
On the occasion, Raman Bhalla, Minister for Housing, Horticulture and Culture was the chief guest, while District Development Commissioner, RK Verma, political leaders from various parties, Sarpanchs, Panchs, parents, students, teaching and non-teaching staff members were also present.
Alvira Kashyap, a student of 3rd standard presented the welcome address.
The tiny tots of the school presented a colourful cultural programme, which was highly appreciated by the audience with thundering applauses.
Addressing the gathering, Bhalla said a child is nourished by parents while the teachers shape his personality besides giving him direction in life.
Minister said such programmes encourage the students besides giving them opportunity to explore their talent by participating in different programmes.
Bhalla distributed mementos among the best performers.
In the end, Principal Anupam Sambyal presented vote of thanks.
