Challan produced against Revenue officials, others in land grabbing case

JAMMU, Dec 31: The Crime Branch Jammu has produced challan against a retired Naib Tehsildar among four Revenue officials and three others , who are accused of preparing fake documents in attempt of land grabbing.
The challan in case FIR number 14/2007, under Section 419, 240, 467, 471, 120-B RPC r/w Section 5(2) PC Act Svt 2006, was produced against Pritam Dass, then Naib Tehsildar Muthi; Mohd Shafi, then Patwari Bandobast, Halqa Dharmal; Prabu Lal then Patwari, Ram Dass, then Giradawar Dharmal Muthi, Rattan Lal of Udhaiwala Jammu, Sanjay Raina of Lower Muthi Jammu and Joginder Singh of Pacci Dhakki Jammu, in the court of Special Judge Anti-corruption Court Jammu.
Brief facts of the case are that these land grabbers in connivance with the Revenue officials, hatched a criminal conspiracy and tempered the Revenue record of the land under possession of complainant Neelam Kumari wife of Krishan Lal Pandoh of Talab Tillo. The accused also prepared a fictitious agreement deed pertaining to sale of the said land by putting fake signatures of the complainant on the papers.
Following a complaint in this regard and during the course of investigation, the Crime Branch seized all the relevant Revenue record of the land as well as fake agreement deed. After FSL report on the fake documents and collecting other evidences, the Crime Branch produced challan in the case for judicial determination.
