Administration gears up for developmental projects at Shiv Khori Shrine

REASI, Dec 31: Over 16 lakh pilgrims visited Shiv Khori Cave Shrine nested in Shivalik hills in Reasi district in year 2013.
This was revealed by Additional Deputy Commissioner Reasi Rajinder Singh Tara, who is also the Vice Chairman of Shri Shiv Khori Shrine Board (SSKSB) at a high level meeting held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Reasi Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary here today.
Various ongoing developmental works were putforth before the house for discussion and status of all these works was reviewed. Executive Engineer Public Works Development informed that the construction of helipad near cave shrine is near completion and the work on approach road is going on which will be completed shortly besides allied infrastructure at helipad is also under progress. The house was apprised that the Assistant Executive Engineer Tourism has been directed for the formulation of development plan for cave area.
Dr Choudhary instructed the Tourism Department to speed up the pace of works and asked the concerned officers of tourism to complete the work on pony stand and installation of railing by February 10, adding that CCTV cameras at prominent locations should installed in view of security.
Among others the meeting was attended by SSKSB member SM Sahani, ACR Tilk Raj Shastri, Teshildar (HQ) Dr. Maneet Motan, ATRO Reasi Rajesh Kumar, CMO Dr. Younos, Executive Engineer PWD, PHE, PDD and BDO Pouni.
