Governor, CM extend New Year greetings

JAMMU, Dec 31 :On the eve of the New Year, N. N. Vohra, the Governor has conveyed warm wishes and greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Looking back at the outgoing year, the Governor complimented the people living all along the LoC for their determination and fortitude in facing the repeated ceasefire violations from across and thanked the security forces for containing the activities of terrorist networks despite the targeted attacks on personnel of the uniformed forces, many of whom had paid the supreme sacrifice in the past months.
The Governor prayed for sustained peace and normalcy and rapid growth and prosperity of the State.
Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah has also extended new year greetings to the people wishing them joyful, prosperous and very happy New Year 2014.
In his new year’s greeting message, the Chief Minister expressed the hope that the year 2014 will be herald of peace, development and progress for the State and the country.
