JAMMU, Sept 21: Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Jammu region organized the 34th Youth Parliament Competition, hosted by KV No 1, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
Former Member of Legislative Council (Ex MLC) Ravinder Sharma Advocate graced the occasion as the chief guest. Six KVs from Jammu and Kashmir including KV Srinagar, KV Jyotipuram, KV Miran Sahib, KV Kathua, KV CRPF Bantalab and KV No 2, Jammu Cantt participated in this engaging event. Principal of the host school Amit Walter extended a warm welcome to the chief guest and other principals, Bhushan Kumar (KV 1 Akhnoor) and Dr. Gurdeep Singh (KV 2 Akhnoor) who served as judges for the competition.
The schools exhibiting exceptional performance were recognised and awarded, while six outstanding performers from each school were also honoured.
Ravinder Sharma appreciated the KV Sangathan Jammu and the host school for organizing an exemplary competition that nurtures leadership qualities in the youth. Sharma emphasized that education remained incomplete without instilling leadership qualities and providing comprehensive knowledge about the functioning of democracy. He commended the participating students as finest and the most talented products of their respective schools destined to become enlightened citizens and excel in their chosen fields of endeavour.
