PoK refugees flay Govt for delaying settlement

JAMMU, Jan 2: Displaced persons from PoK have strongly criticized the Central and State Governments for not doing justice with them and initiating action regarding one time settlement of  their issue.
Capt (Retd) Yudhvir Singh Chib, president  PoK Displaced Persons Front-1947,65 & 71, alleged that DPs were facing lot of troubles due to attitude of the Government. He said that there was no speedy action  on the much publicized issue of  one time settlement of the PoK   and the DPs are looking towards Government.  A lot of delay  is being caused in the settlement of their issue.
He pointed out that the scale projected by the State Government regarding payment to single family is not adequate and it was not acceptable. The Government must go for its review.  He demanded that Government must enlist the left out families. He demanded that  ownership rights be given to the DPs  of 1947, 65 and 71 and ALC certificate be issued to all the DPs.  Their wards be provided 15 % reservation in jobs and professional institutes.
