JAMMU, Sept 23: District Reasi Archery Championship was organised at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board Sports Complex, Katra and was inaugurated by Vipan Bhagat, Assistant Chief Executive Officer, (SMVDSB) has today concluded.
Two day-long event was conducted by Reasi District Archery Association under the banner of Archery Association of Jammu and Kashmir in collaboration with Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board under the aegis of J&K Sports Council. Archers from all over Reasi district participated in various categories such as Sub Junior, Junior and Senior. On the first day the qualification rounds were conducted in all three categories for boys and girls. On second day the final matches and prize distribution were conducted.
In the prize distribution ceremony, Abhishek Sharma was chief guest. The winners of the event shall represent District Reasi in JK-UT Archery Championship. The competition was officiated by Abhilasha Choudhary, Assistant Archery Coach, SMVD Sports Complex. The Association also hold Kishtwar District Archery Championship at the same venue on same days.
The results were in senior compound men, Rakesh Kumar Ist, Hritik Sharma 2nd and Sangarsh Dev Singh 3rd. In Senior Compound Women; Sunaina Devi Ist and Romica 2nd. Junior Compound Boys; Pariv Khajuria Ist, and Omkara Gupta 2nd. Sub-Junior Compound boys; Omkara Gupta Ist and Yash Gupta 2nd. Senior Recurve Men; Divyansh Suri Ist, Bhawani 2nd and Vishal 3rd. Senior Recurve Women; Radhika Ist and Shikha 2nd. Junior Recurve Boys; Bhawani Ist. Sub-Junior Recurve men; Krishna Ist. In district Kishtwar; Sub-Junior, Junior and Senior Compound girls, Sheetal Devi Ist and Shiwani 2nd.
