17 Vaishnodevi pilgrims injured

JAMMU, June 22: Seventeen Shri Mata Vaishnodevi pilgrims got injured when a bus, they were traveling in, rammed into a wall, near Nagrota area.
The ill-fated bus bearing registration number JKO2AG 7689was on its way from Katra to Jammu when it met with accident at Nagrota due to the negligence of the driver.
The driver of over-speeding bus failed to negotiate sharp curve resulting into the accidents and causing injuries to all its occupants.
On getting information, police party from nearby police station, rushed to the spot and started rescue operation. All the injured pilgrims were immediately rushed to Government medical college and Hospital (GMCH) in police and other vehicles.
The injured have been identified as Balvinder Kumar of Pallanwalan, Sahil of Punjab, Kamal of Punjab, Veena of Punjab, Tajimnder Kour of Bathinda, Anuridh Singh of Khanpur, Bunty of Bathinda, Romesh of Bathinda, Amandeep of Bathinda, Seema of Himachal Pradesh, Raj Kumar of HP, Sonia of HP, Bhagwan Dass of Bathinda, Jyoti of Bathinda, Gourav of Bathinda, Kajal of Bathinda and Ramandeep Singh of Khanpur.
