Mountaineer Sangeeta leaves for Antartica

page12-2SRINAGAR, Jan 6: Jammu born Sangeeta alongwith her husband Ankur Bahal were seen off today for Antartica Expedition from Delhi.
Sangeeta Bahal, 45 is married with two sons Varun (21) and Aarrnav (11). She is basically an entrepreneur and a model, who has played roles in TV serials and films with some prominent stars.
The month long expedition organized by Ancient Expeditions will comprise of 12 hard core adventurers including Sangeeta and her husband.
Sangeeta has done basic and advance mountaineering courses and has intensively trekked in Indian and Nepal Himalayas. She has earlier climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa, Mount Elbrus in Russia, Mount Mani Mahesh in Himachal, Stok Kangri  in Leh, Island peak in Nepal and Seven Sisters in Blue Mountains Australia.
Jammu and Kashmir Ski and Mountaineering Association (JKSMA) has lauded Sangeeta’s efforts for this landmark achievement.
Sangeeta is ambitious to climb four highest peaks which include Mount McKinley in America, Mount Aconcagua in South America, Mount Carotenes Pyramid Indonesia and Mount Everest in Nepal which will make her first Indian couple who have climbed all the seven highest mountain peaks in all continents around the world.
