JAMMU, Jan 6: J&K Speed Ball team won overall trophy in the North India Speed Ball Championship held at New Delhi.
Around 300 players from 6 States from across the Country participated in the event, wherein 27-member J&K team also participated.
After this achievement the team was welcomed by Director Floriculture,KK Sharma, Accounts Manager Floriculture Mr Sharma and SP Langer.
While J&K won overall Championship, Delhi stood 2nd and Haryana bagged the 3rd spot.
The State team won 6 gold, 5 silver and 13 bronze medals.
The gold medal winners included Ishita Raina, Manthan Pandoh, Varunpreet Singh, Amandeep Singh, Sugandh Mehta and Sahil Janjua, while the silver medals were bagged by Rhea Tikku, Pranay Gupta, Mradhima Gupta, Manika Sharma, Aryan Kangotra, Samaksh Kumar, Ritik Ratra and the bronze medal went to Himanshu Sharma, Mansi Jamwal, Ujjwal Slathia, Adveer Kundal, Pratham Thappa, Dikshant Maltonia, Aditya Avasthi, Rahul Kumar, Harvinder Kour, Dalip Kumar, Samaksh Kumar, Aditya Pratap Singh and Nitin Singh.
