Jatin butchers ICC bowlers in Samar Club’s huge win

JAMMU, Jan 6: Jatin Wadhawan butchered the International Cricket Club (ICC) bowlers and scored power-packed 82 runs off 52 balls, studded with 7 delectable boundaries and 3 massive sixes to guide Samar Cricket Club script a huge win by a margin of 77 runs in the ongoing KC Sports Club T20 Cricket Tournament at KC Public School grounds, here today.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, Samar Club, after early hiccups, rode on a superb batting display by Jatin Wadhawan and scored a decent total of 171 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Samar Club were struggling at 13/3 in 4.3 overs, but Jatin’s whirl-wind knock of 82 runs helped the team to set a mammoth target. Apart from Jatin’s magnificent knock, Sidharth Magotra contributed 37 off 19 balls with the help of 5 fours and one six. Monu chipped in with 15 runs, including 2 boundaries. For ICC, Bodh Raj and Maqsood scalped 2 wickets each, while Rinku claimed one.
In reply, ICC bundled out for a paltry total of 94 runs, thus lost the match by a big margin of 77 runs. Faryad top scored with 21-ball 33 runs, studded with 3 fours and 3 sixes. Naushad Ali scalped 4 wickets for Samar Cricket Club, while Anoop Mangotra bagged 3 wicket and Kamal Kishore claimed one. Jatin Wadhawan was adjudged man of the match for his brilliant innings.
In another match, Mayank Goswami Cricket Academy (MGCA) defeated WCC by 3 wickets in a close contest. Batting first, WCC scored 124 runs in the allotted 20 overs. Shanker was the top scorer with 46 runs, while Sanjay Koul and Sunny contributed 15 runs each. For MGCA, Ajay and Sahil Lotra bagged 3 wickets each, while Aman Sharma and Nageshwar claimed one wicket each.
In reply, MGCA chased the total in 18.1 overs by losing 7 wickets to win the match by 3 wickets. Dawood top scored with 41 runs, while Ateev and Ajay contributed 22 and 16 runs to the total respectively. Deepak took 4 wickets for WCC, while Shanker claimed 2. Ajay Sharma was adjudged man of the match.
