DODA, Oct 6: A 37-year-old man died after being attacked by a bear in Khanpura area, here today.
A Ponywala namely Mushtaq Ahmed son of Lal Din resident of Kathawa (at present Khanpura) alongwith his mules was returning from village Bhendoga towards his home when on reaching near his home, a wild bear attacked him.
When he shouted for help, villagers and family members rushed to the spot and rescued him. He was badly injured in the bear attack and resultant fall in a gorge along the road and shifted to hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
